Day 1: Meet you at Casablanca airport and drive to Chefchaouen
When you arrive we will meet you in Casablanca airport and drive to Chefchaouen. On this Casablanca Sahara Desert Tours, we will have the opportunity to see the Hassan two mosque in Casablanca. It is considered the second largest mosque afte Mecca. Part of this mosque is built on the seaside.Then, of we will go straight to Chefchaouen, we would be in Rabat and see Hassan Tower. Then head to Chefchaouen passing by Kenitra and driving to the Rif mountanious villages via Wazzan. We will reach Chefchaouen by the sunset time.
Day 2: Chefchaouen
As soon as you take your breakfast, we will have a visit day to discover and explore one of the most interesting and beautiful medinas in the north of Morocco. It is called the Blue town. A real pearl in the north situated just at the beginning of the Rif mountains. The city has a splendid Andalu-Morish style. Especially the square located in the heart of the medina. All its houses are colored in blue in addition to the sight of well mosaic stores. All this you can enjoy from a roof top of a riad there .
Day 3: Chefchaouen – Volubilis – Meknes – Fes
After your breakfast in the riad, we continue Casablanca Sahara Desert Tours. Driving you to the Roman ruins or Volubilis crossing in our way Wazzan and some Rif villages. In Volubilis, we will stop by the Roman ruins to see and learn about this monument and its history. Then, we will visit the next imperial town ,Meknes. A city that is dated back to the 17-century. we will have lunch there. After that, we will have some time to enjoy the historical huge walled medina of the city. Including Bab el Mansour and have a visit to see Moulay Ismail shrine. After Meknes, we will head to Fes city where you will have a night in one of the most beautiful riad .
Day 4: Fes Sightseeing
After having breakfast in your riad, you will meet a guide from the office of tourism for a cultural visit of the medina. You will explore the oldest city in Morocco, walking in its alleyways and small narrow streets .You will start the visit from the Royale Palace, the Jewish cemetery or the Mellah which. It is the first to be built in Morocco in the 16th century.we will make sure that you had a full cultural visit of the medina including the famous Al Quaraouine university, the oldest in the region, the Tanneries, the Attarine museum and Moulay Idriss mausoleum. Tthen after lunch, you will visit the ceramic area from which you will have that nice panoramic view over all the old medina .
Day 5: Fes – Azrou – Midelt – Ziz Valley – Erfoud – Merzouga – Camel ride and night in a camp
After breakfast, we leave Fes taking the way to Merzouga. On this way, we will pass by Imozzar, the first Berber town and Ifrane. A beautiful village (the so called the Switzerland of Morocco ). Along the way, we will experience glimpses of the Middle Atlas and Higher Atlas mountains. We will stop in Azrou, a berber village in the middle of the famous cedar forest the largest in Morocco. here you can see Barbary apes. Then we continue our Casablanca Sahara Desert Tours, head to Merzouga passing the magnificent hills and the Atlas mountains, we will go in a car to Merzouga via Errachidia and Erfoud. You will enjoy to the most the fascinating Tiz Ntalghamt pass and the Ziz gorge. Also you will see Atlas of course, a beautiful scenery views of the Atlas plateau. You will witness along the way how the scenery is changing to notice the first elements of the desert as you approach the city of Errachidia. There you will experience the Berber hospitality when you have a lunch. Afterwards, we will drive on this Casablanca Sahara Desert Tours, along the green pearl of Ziz valley where you will stop to enjoy panoramic views along the way to Erfoud and Rissani. We will be in Merzouga in the afternoon to be greeted and welcomed with a glass of mint tea to relax. Day 6: Merzouga – Ramlia village
In the very morning, the camel man will wake you up to go up to the golden hill. You will see the best sunrise ever. Afterwards, you’ll ride camel peacefully back to your hotel. Getting amazed by the unique beauty of the spectacular Erg Chebbi dunes – changing with the light as the day rising up. After breakfast and a shower, you’ll go for Ramlia village, an abandoned village in the middle of the desert. There you will have a chance to meet the local people and experience the real rural life of the blue men, a very small oasis.
Day 7: Ramlia Village – Toudgha Gorges – Dades valley
After breakfast in the Aghbalou Ramlia guest house, we will take the car crossing the beautiful black desert. In addition, Berber oases of palm trees, mud houses, till we reach to Alnif village. A place known for its fossil workshop where we will have a stop for a drink. Then continue our Casablanca Sahara Desert Tours, via the high Atlas mountains to see the most stunning gorges of Todgha where you see the springs of water runs between the rocks. You will enjoy the views of natural scenery. Then, the journey continues through the magic mountains of the Dades Valley where our day will end up spending the night in a nice hotel located on the top of the mountain to enjoy an overview of the valley and the mountains.
Day 8: Dades valley – Ouarzazette – Ait Ben Haddou kasbah – Marrakech
After breakfast in the hotel, your journey of Casablanca Sahara Desert Tours, will be through the Dades Valley towards Kalaa M’gouna and Ouarzazate. Along the way of the thousand kasbahs” you will have multi apportunities for taking hundreds of pictures in both valleys. Famous for its roses and the cinema city of Ouarzazate. We will pass by Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah. The largest Kasbah in Morocco, built by Thami El Glaoui, one of the last Berber chieftains. During the beginning of the XXth Century. It was one of his stops during his long travels from the Sahara to Marrakech. Now it is a UNESCO heritage site. After that, we will start to drive cross the high Atlas mountains with many panoramic views and attractive Berber villages all along the way till Marrakech
Day 9: Marrakech – Essaouira
After getting quickly hustled and bustled in Marrakech, you will have a journey of peace of mind to Essaouira. You will see the beauty of seaside view and walled city. This ancient citadel on the West Atlantic coast of Africa literally means “wall” in the Berber language, and you’ll soon discover why. It is well known by the town of arts where it hosts annually the Festival of Gnawa music takes places on June. Travelers from all over the world are very keen to experience the very special weather and explore its diverse and unique history.
As we leave Marrakech, we drive through lush valleys filled with orange groves, ancient olive trees and working farms on the drive to the coast. After a short while, we reach Chichaoua, where we can take a short break for a coffee or snack at Cafe Afoulki.
Once you have had the chance to refuel a bit, we will continue on. Soon coming upon our first signs of the Argan trees. These special trees are valued for their nutritive, cosmetic and numerous medicinal properties. The tree, a relic species from the Tertiary age, is extremely well adapted to drought and other environmentally difficult conditions of southwestern Morocco. So because they are now endangered, they are under the protection of UNESCO.
After all of your morning travels, you arrive in Essouira, where you have the chance to wander the ancient streets and can imagine what life existed here in the past. The streets have a genuinely Portuguese feel, after they renamed the city in the 16th century and used it as a port city of their own. Here you can dine on fish straight out of the sea at any local restaurants. You can even have a camel ride on the beach, if you want!
Day 10: Essaouira – Marrakech
After breakfast in your riad, drive back to Marrakech. On our way – since this is the land of Argan culture – this is an opportunity to visit the women’s co-operative of Argan oil where they extract the oil that is famous for its culinary, cosmetic and medicinal properties. After several stops to take pictures , you will carry your journey to Marrakech and arrive in to your riad.
After dinner you will enjoy walking within the famous square of Jemaa Elfna, entertained and chanted by magicians, story tellers, musicians and snake charmers. Overnight in a riad in the Medina.
Day 11: Marrakech Sightseeing
After breakfast in the riad, you can start exploring Marrakech ” the red pearl of Morocco”. We will make sure that you see the most important of historical and cultural sites. Including the Majorelle Gardens, the Koutoubia Tower, the Saadian tombs, the Bahia Palace. After lunch at a restaurant near the square, you will walk through the souks and view hundreds of handicrafts. In the afternoon, you will have some free time to wander by yourself through the other parts of the city.
Day 12:Transfer to the airport
