Day 1: Meet you at Casablanca airport and drive to Fes
We Will meet you in Casablanca airport and drive to Fes via highway which will take about 4 hours and a half for a drive. End of the first day of Marrakech Sahara Tour. Night will be in a Riad.
Day 2: Fes Sightseeing
As soon as you have breakfast in your Riad, you will start exploring the oldest city in Morocco, walking in its alleyways and small narrow streets. Your guided tour starts from the Royal Palace gate, the Jewish quarter, the first Mellah ever built in Morocco, dating back to the 16th century. We will take into consideration that you visit all sites with cultural and historical attractions including the famous Al Qaraouine University, the oldest in the region, the Tanneries, the Attarine museum and Mulay Idriss mausoleum. After lunch, it’s the rampart tour where you can have a full panoramic view over the town from the two opposite forts uphills and visit the tiles cooperative.
Day 3: Fes – Merzouga. Camel ride in Erg Chebbi dunes and night in a camp
After breakfast, we will leave Fes southwards to Ifrane and Azrou. Passing by the Middle Atlas mountains. We will stop at cedar forest to see the Barbarian Ape in their natural habitat. Then we continue to travel through the Tizi Ntalghamt pass to Midelt and along the magnificent Ziz Gorges. It is carved and naturally painted through volcanic rock. So you’ll for sure enjoy views of the Middle-Atlas plateau, noticing how the scenery is changing as long as we are driving further down and approaching to Errachidia . Then having lunch in a first berber food’s experience in Errachidia. Our journey will continue through the Ziz valley Erfoud, Rissani and Merzouga. After a glass of berber tea, we will leave our luggage in a room and continue our Marrakech Sahara Tour. Then ride the camels to a Berber camp in the middle of Erg Chebbi Sand Dunes. 20 km long and 5 km wide it is also considered three highest sand dunes in North Africa. It is a unique and diverse environment and magic nature that makes you feel as you land in another planet but you are not in a part of the earth :its just wonderful . The camel trek takes about 1hr 30 min from the hotel to the camp where we continue to experience the nomadic Berber lifestyle till get in a berber tent where you will be having a dinner and enjoying the starry sky with a berber music around the fire. The camp is well equipped with mattresses, blankets, and cushions.
Day 4: Merzouga – Toudgha Gorges – Dades Valley
The camel man will be there for you to watch what will may be the best sunrise of your life. Then, you’ll ride camels peacefully back to your hotel getting fascinated and attracted by the wonderful beauty of the spectacular Erg Chebbi dunes – changing with the light as the day is rising. After breakfast and shower, we will leave ande continue Marrakech Sahara Tour, for Tinghir and Todra gorges – the highest, narrowest gorges in Morocco. Before arriving at Dades Valley for dinner and accommodation.
Day 5: Dades Valley – Ait ben Haddou Kasbah – Marrakech
Immediately After breakfast in the hotel we’ll drive through the Dades Valley towards Kalaat Mgouna and Ouarzazate. Its the way of the thousand Kasbahs which allows you numerous opportunities to take some of your best photographic shots of the trip. Then the roses valley and Skoura village. Continue your Marrakech Sahara Tour, to Ouarzazat, or the so called “the Hollywood of Africa”. Lunch will be at the famous Ait Ben Haddou kasbah, the largest Kasbah in Morocco. After seeing this UNESCO matrimonial historical site, our journey will continue through the majestic Tizi ‘n’ tichka pass. It is (2260m) over the High Atlas Mountains. We will have time for several stops and enjoy impressive views and visit the argan oil cooperative. Finally, we will reach Marrakech in the late afternoon.
Day 6: Marrakech Sightseeing
As soon as you have breakfast in the Riad, you can start exploring Marrakech “the red pearl of Morocco”. We will make sure that you see the most important sites of historical and cultural interest. Including the Majorelle Gardens, the Koutoubia Tower, the Saadian tombs, the Bahia Palace. After Lunch at a restaurant near the square, you will walk through the souks and view hundreds of handicrafts. On the afternoon, you will have some free time to wonder by yourself the other parts of Marrakech.
Day 7: Transfer to the airport
Depending on your flight departure the pick up to the airport will be.
