Day 1: Fez – Ifrane – Midelt – Ziz Gorges – Erfoud – Rissani – Merzouga
We would be there to pick you up from riad or hotel in Fes. Immediately we set off southwards Ifrane, Azrou. Besides other Berber villages through the Middle Atlas mountains. You can appreciate the beautiful varied view of landscapes. Afterwards, we will have a stop on the way at cedar forest to see the Barbarian Ape in their natural habitat. On this Fes Desert Tours 4 Days, we travel through the Tizi Ntalghamt pass to Midelt and along the impressive Ziz Gorges carved through volcanic rock. You’ll see views of the Middle-Atlas plateau, noticing how the scenery is changing gradually into the desert nature as long as we are approaching Errachidia. After lunch, we will continue our journey through the Ziz valley Erfoud, Rissani, and Merzouga. After a glass of welcoming mint tea, We will drop our luggage in a room while camels are waiting for us to take us to a Berber camp in the middle of Erg Chebbi Sand Dunes. 20 km long and 5 km wide it is also ranked as the highest sand dunes in North Africa. It is a unique and diverse environment. The camel trek takes about 1hr 30 min from the hotel to the camp where we experience a real nomadic Berber lifestyle. The camp is well equipped with mattresses, blankets, and cushions. After dinner, we gather around the fire and enjoy the desert night perhaps with traditional Berber drums.
Day 2: Merzouga – Ramlia village
In the very morning, the camel man will wake you up to watch the best sunrise of your life. Afterwards, you’ll ride a camel peacefully back to your hotel. You will appreciate all the way back, the unique beauty of the spectacular and impressive Erg Chebbi dunes – changing with the light as the day is progressing on. After breakfast and shower, you’ll leave for Khamlia village, an abandoned village in the middle of Sahara desert. A place where you will surely meet the local people and experience the real rural Morocco, a very small oasis.
Day 3: Ramlia village – Todra Gorge – Dades Valley
After having breakfast in Aghbalou Ramlia, we will head off to the beautiful black desert. Crossing the Berber oases of palm trees, mud houses till we get to Alnif village. A place is known for fossil workshop, where we will have a stop for a drink. Then continue our Fes Desert Tours 4 Days, via the high atlas mountains. You will see the stunning gorges of Todgha where springs of water run between the rocks and enjoy the contrast of natural beauty. After the visit of the gorges, the way continues with its magic mountains to Dades valley. The place where we will end our day, spending the night in a nice hotel located on the top of the mountain. You will enjoy an overview of the valley and the mountains.
Day 4: Dades Valley – Skoura – Ouarzazate- Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah – High Atlas mountain – Marrakech
As soon as you have breakfast in the hotel, we’ll drive through the Dades Valley towards Kalaat Mgouna and Ouarzazate. Its a way of the thousand Kasbahs. You will have a chance to take some of your best photographic shots of the trip. Then the roses valley and Skoura village. Continue to Ouarzazate, “the Hollywood of Africa”. Lunch is at the famous Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, the largest Kasbah in Morocco. So after touring this UNESCO heritage site, we will continue through the majestic Tizi ‘n’ Tichka pass (2260m) over the High Atlas Mountains. We will have time to stop and enjoy impressive views and visit the argan oil cooperative. Then we continue Fes Desert Tours 4 Days, we will arrive in Marrakech in the late afternoon.
